GlowGetter Daily - Get Curious — Your Dormant Dreams Are Still Alive
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
When was the last time you felt deliciously curious and lost an hour to a rabbit hole because you were truly interested, not because you were “being productive”? We’re talking about that specific kind of inner light and why it can fade in midlife when we become experts at competence, execution, and keeping it all together. If your days have turned into nonstop list management, this short, punchy conversation is a reset for your mindset and your momentum.
We unpack why a beginner’s mindset is not naive, it’s powerful. Curiosity lowers the ego, loosens the grip of “I should already know,” and opens space for reinvention. We also explore the passions you may have shelved because they weren’t practical or someone made you feel silly for wanting them, and how those interests don’t disappear, they just go quiet. The goal isn’t a dramatic overhaul. It’s following one small thread of genuine interest, even one inch, and letting it lead.
To anchor the message, we share three repeatable affirmations that support common midlife growth goals: financial wellbeing (earning well, saving wisely, spending with purpose), self-care (a body that is wise, resilient, and worthy of care), and ambition (goals that aren’t too big, just a sign you’re becoming who you need to be). If you’re craving personal growth, midlife reinvention, and a clear next step, press play and find your glow.

Quick Intro And A Challenge
SPEAKER_00Hey everyone, it's your Glowgetter Daily Pet Talk. Quick, real, and exactly what you need to keep going. I'm Jax, and we're about to make the next few minutes count. So let's go. So let me ask you something, and I want you to actually think about this. When was the last time you were genuinely deliciously curious about something? Not curious like I wonder what's for dinner. I mean really curious. The kind where you go down a rabbit hole and your hour disappears. The kind where you feel lit up from the inside. When was that? Because here's what I know about women in midlife. We are experts at competence. We have been executing, managing, keeping it all together for decades. And somewhere in all that competence, we quietly retired our beginners' mindset. We stopped asking what if and started just asking what's next on the list. But curiosity is not childish. Curiosity is actually one of the most powerful forces for reinvention there is. When you approach something with a beginner's mindset, no ego, no I should know this, just genuine open wondering, you unlock parts of yourself that have been quietly waiting. Think about the things you used to love before life got loud. The things you put on the shelf because they weren't practical, or they weren't what a responsible adult did, or someone made you feel silly for wanting them. Those things don't die. They just went quiet and they are still in there, waiting for you to come back. Curiosity is a doorway. You don't need a five-year plan. You don't need to know where it leads. You just need to follow the thread of what genuinely interests you, even a little, and see where it goes. Maybe it's a pottery class. Maybe it's a business idea. Maybe it's reading about something that makes your brain come alive. Maybe it's a conversation with someone doing exactly what you've always secretly wanted to do. Your assignment today. Ask yourself what you're actually curious about right now. Not what you should be doing, what genuinely lights a little spark. Follow that, even one inch. That spark, that's your glow. Don't ignore it. Okay ladies, now I'm sharing three affirmations on repeat that can inspire you on your midlife journey. I am a woman who earns well, saves wisely, and spends with purpose. I am a woman who earns well, saves wisely, and spends with purpose. My body is wise, resilient, and deeply worthy of care. My body is wise, resilient, and deeply worthy of care. My goals are not too big. I am simply becoming the woman who achieves them. My goals are not too big. I am simply becoming the woman who achieves them. Okay, ladies, have an amazing day. Love Jacks.
